Joyce has a warm, collaborative approach and a talent for discovering each client’s strengths and areas of struggle.
She has completed multiple university degrees, including a PhD (with a specialisation in attention) from the University of Queensland. She has also completed master and bachelor degrees in (clinical) psychology.
She has worked at the Kooky clinic and at Therapy House. In both roles she specialised in working with children and adolescents and psychological assessment.
She also has more than 15 years experience in (applied) mental health research, analysis, interpretation, and report writing across university, hospital, and community mental health settings. She has worked at prestigious institutes like the Queensland Brain Institute and Oxford university in the UK. Currently, she works part-time as a senior researcher at Autism Queensland.
Joyce is also a mother to two school-aged kids and knows first-hand how challenging the parenting journey can be at times and how much we all want the best for our kids. She enjoys reading a good book, spending time with her family and friends, and going for a swim or hike to keep healthy.
