Session fees

Session fee (60 min) – $250.

Session costs include assessment material costs. Medicare rebate can be claimed with a valid GP mental health plan. Medicare rebates apply only to sessions in which psychological strategies are applied, and cannot be applied to assessment only sessions.

Out of pocket (60 min) – $161.75

Medicare rebate (60 min)- $88.25

As an alternative to medicare, many private health insurance policies with extras cover cover a percentage of psychologist costs. Please check with your healthcare provider to find out more.

Assessment packages guidelines

The cost of assessment packages generally range from $1250 upwards. In your first session we will discuss your child’s needs and which assessment(s) would be most suitable for your family as well as the cost involved. The below can be used as a guideline for all-inclusive assessment costs (these are an indicative only).

  • Standard ADHD assessment: $1500 (intake session, assessment session x2, feedback session, questionnaire assessments for parent and/or teacher, report writing and analyses).
  • Standard autism assessment: $1500 (intake session, assessment session x2, feedback session, questionnaire assessments for parent and/or teacher, report writing and analyses).
  • Cognitive assessment (WISC only): $1250 (intake session, assessment session x2, feedback session, questionnaire assessments for parent and/or teacher, analyses, report writing and analyses).
  • Cognitive assessment (WISC & WIAT): $1750 (intake session, assessment session x3, feedback session, questionnaire assessments for parent and/or teacher, analyses, report writing and analyses).

Hourly charged rates are in alignment with the Australian Psychological Society’s guidelines for psychologist fees ($260 per 50-minute session).
